Need fire stopping priced in Sale?
If a compartmentation survey has come back with defects, a refurbishment has exposed open penetrations, or other work is waiting for fire stopping before ceilings and walls can close, send us the information you already have. We carry out FIRAS-approved fire stopping in Sale for commercial buildings, apartment developments, managed property, healthcare, education and refurbishment projects.
You do not need to turn the enquiry into a technical specification. A postcode, photographs, the survey or defect schedule if there is one, approximate quantities and the date you need the work completed are a useful starting point. If drawings are available, send those too.
Fire stopping for Sale refurbishments & fit-outs
Sale has a different building mix from Trafford Park. Around the town centre and the A56 corridor there are offices, shops, hospitality premises, apartments, healthcare and managed buildings, while Brooklands, Sale Moor and Ashton upon Mersey bring more residential and mixed-use property into the picture. Refurbishment and fit-out work can expose older service routes above ceilings, inside risers and behind boxing. New electrical, data, plumbing or ventilation work can then create further penetrations through fire-resisting walls and floors.
We deal with the practical end of that problem: identifying the openings in scope and installing an appropriate tested fire stopping system for the service and substrate. That can include fire batt and mastic, pipe collars or wraps, linear seals, cavity barriers and other passive fire protection systems where suitable.
If electricians, ceiling installers or another contractor is waiting, tell us your programme date when you enquire. It helps us understand the urgency immediately.

What fire stopping work do you need?
Survey remedial works
Defects listed in a compartmentation or passive fire survey, including open penetrations, damaged seals, riser defects and incomplete fire stopping.
Compartmentation remedial worksCables & cable trays
New or existing electrical containment passing through fire-rated walls and floors, from individual cable routes to larger grouped services.
Cable tray fire stoppingPipe penetrations
Plastic, metal and insulated pipe penetrations assessed against the wall or floor construction, opening and required fire resistance.
Pipe penetration fire stoppingFire batt & mastic
Tested fire batt and sealant systems for suitable service penetrations and openings, installed to the relevant system detail.
Fire batt & masticCompartmentation defects found above ceilings or in risers
A lot of remedial work only becomes obvious once someone looks above a suspended ceiling, opens a service riser or removes old boxing. The issue might be a cable route that was never sealed, an old fire batt that has been cut for new services, pipework passing through an oversized opening, or a previous seal that no longer matches what now passes through it.
Where a survey has already identified and numbered the defects, send the full schedule rather than individual screenshots if possible. It gives us the context, quantities and locations. For live refurbishment work, photographs and marked-up drawings are particularly useful before areas are closed.
We do not assume every hole needs the same product. The service, substrate, opening size, existing construction and required fire performance all matter.
Commercial & managed buildings in Sale
For offices, retail units, mixed-use buildings and managed property around Sale town centre, School Road, Washway Road and the surrounding area, fire stopping work often sits alongside ongoing maintenance, tenant fit-outs or refurbishment.
That means access can matter as much as the number of defects. Plant rooms, electrical cupboards, risers, ceiling voids and back-of-house areas may need coordinating around building users and other contractors. Tell us if the building is occupied, if access is restricted, or if work has to be phased.
For larger defect schedules, send the survey, floor plans and any photographs together. We can review the scope before deciding whether further site information is needed.

Intumescent paint for structural steel
We also provide intumescent paint and structural steel fire protection for Sale projects. This is separate from penetration sealing but often appears on the same refurbishment or construction programme.
For a useful quotation, send the structural drawings or steel schedule where available, section sizes, required fire resistance, coating specification if one has been set, photographs and programme dates. The required coating build-up depends on the steel and the tested system rather than a one-size-fits-all rate.

What happens when you ask for a quote?
Send the site postcode and what you know. If you have a compartmentation survey, fire strategy, marked-up drawings or defect schedule, attach them. If you do not, send photographs and approximate dimensions. Tell us whether the site is live, whether ceilings or walls are waiting to close, and any handover or inspection date.
We can then review whether the information is enough for an initial assessment or whether the project needs more detail or a site visit. That keeps the enquiry simple and avoids asking you for documents you do not have.
